Pool Styles & Designs

There are variety of pool styles to consider when it comes to choosing what to build in your backyard. You can select one of the following pool designs, depending on site conditions or size of your yard.

Vanishing Edge Pools

Vanishing edge, infinity or zero edge pools work best in hillside areas. These types of pools are usually built at the edge of slope, especially when there is a dramatic view beyond the pool.
They are more expensive to build but they add value & maximize the usable yard space.
They can also be built on properties with no slop, but with some elevation changes.

Lap Pools

These are long & narrow pools, best used for swimming & exercise.
They are usually designed for narrow yards where there is no space for building a wider pool.

Play Pools

Play pools are typically wide & shallow in depth, best used for playing water sports such as volleyball, dodgeball, water cycling or aerobics.
There are features such as swim jets or deck fountains that can be added to these pools, for extra fun & excitement.

Free Form Pools

These pools as the name suggests, can have any shape or form. They work best in smaller backyards where they can be placed in an angle or follow the shape of available space.
Free form pools can also be used in larger backyards to create a resort like atmosphere, with variety of sun shelves, islands & palm trees.

Pool/SPA Combination

Pool/spa combination is a functional concept for very small backyards, where there is no room for standard size pool with attached spa.
We can build a small size pool with all spa functions, to serve as a dipping pool or as a spa when heated.

Covered Pools

Automatic pool covers will provide safety for kids, as well as keeping the water clean & warm.
Pool covers are ideal for cold or windy areas by keeping the dust & debris from falling into the water, as well as trapping the heat & preventing water evaporation.
Some municipalities have already made it mandatory to have covers on all pools.

Raised Pools

Pools can be built out of ground when there are elevation changes in the backyard, which require portions of the pool to be raised above grade. They can also be built entirely above ground for design purposes, or to provide sitting around the pool edge.

Pools With Waterfall

Adding a waterfall or fountain to the pool will give beauty, sound & motion to any backyard.
We have many examples of these water features in our portfolio to choose from.
